Taylor

College.

Seems like such a distant idea. Like something you dream about as a child and pray you make it to throughout high school. For me it was always something I viewed as an escape.. an end to the awful high school experience, a place to be distant from troubles at home, a freedom to look forward to.

It's hard to fathom that its almost the end of my first semester here as a college student.

Taylor university is amazing. My journey here has so much to do with God and nothing to do with me, and he worked out everything for me to be here.

Before I knew it, I had actually graduated. I had actually done it.

As the time came and summer came to an end I prepared to embark on the biggest journey of my life this far. And here I am to share some of it with you.

So it was. We made the long drive to the midwest and began my journey they call college, but we spent the week before move in day relaxing and visiting with family.

Before I knew it, it was time to move in.

We had a little trouble getting to the school, but after a little water, some pushing, transferring, rerouting, and perseverance, we arrived at my new home.

SO far college has been a blast, there are so many events, and I've grown so much closer to people on my floor and wing and Its really just been great.

I already had a trip home, that was both wonderful and awful. I learned a lot about friendships and myself and others and sometimes growing hurts. But I did get to spend time with some great friends and I got to see my boy and he took me on my first date and asked me to be his girlfriend.

I missed my best friend

Being home was okay but I discovered I really belong here at School and the people and campus here are my true home.
I got to experience my first real fall
I got a job working the ropes course and that is a blast.

Academics are a struggle sometimes, but I'm making it.

Sometimes you just have to conform to stereotypes

Sometimes college is a blast, and sometimes you ride the strugglebus, but the important thing is.. you take one step at a time and press on.. you'll make it.
