Wednesday

Wednesday my friend B picked me up, we had big plans.
We headed to my house to pick up my equipment and a snack for later, but B's car was acting weird. Twice, while at a stoplight the car wouldn't go, we started to freak out, then we just turned the engine off then back on. It was a little scary, but we laughed about it later. When we made it to my house I ran inside, grabbed my bag, tripod, and a snack and we headed out and met up with B's mom to switch cars.

It was "Happy Hour" at Sonic, so we headed to get slushies and an ice-cream with my gift card.

B had two perfect dollar bills, she gave me one and we took pictures. Weird, I know.

We were driving to the college when we realized how dumb we were to have bought ice cream since we were about to workout. We decided to put it in her locker and run first.

We ran our mile then went back to eat the cream of ice...very slowly.

We took a walk around campus and decided to visit the memorial wall for our friend who passed away  recently. The students had taped a sign and some notes of remembrance on a wall in the commons, it was really sweet.

After our ice cream had settled we headed to the racquetball courts. Playing racquetball is always tons of fun because I am no good at it. Our game was cut a little short because during my follow-through I hit my other arm with the racket and whacked the back of my hand. I busted out laughing and fell down (both from pain and laughter). Bethany was worried because it bruised really quickly and  my vain or something was swollen.
I was fine, but it was swelling and I was tired from running so we stopped playing.

We went on to the next thing, the thing I love most...
 Photography!!

The grass on campus, greener than envy, enthralled me.

So off we strode towards adventure.
I was taking pictures of the bridge when something caught my eye...

It was a  gnome who had assumed his position guarding the bridge. He was so cute!!
 I named him Poppy.
more on poppy soon.

We took pictures of Poppy, then we finished up some more pictures on the bridge.

We tried to take jumping pictures, but mine didn't come out the way I wanted. We had so much fun though. :)

Next we drove to the park and set up a picnic.

 I took this interesting photo.

We had a snack of Nutella with pretzels and chips with guacamole while we did our homework. It was a very nice study session, the weather was beautiful, but then we were swarmed with mosquitoes so we left.

By the time we were all packed up it was time for youth group where I indulged in yummy cherry cobbler.
YUM!!

Someone got a picture of me and B walking inside.. haha.

Yeah, I had an awesome day.

I am so behind on posts, but my brain is full of them, I am hoping to catch up soon.
Love you guys! Have a blessed week!

Happy Birthday

Today is my friend Bethany's birthday. And this is the account of what we did for her.

Last night I invited my friend Megan over to help me make signs and sticky notes to give to Bethany's sister to put in Bethany's room while she was sleeping.

We made a bunch of sticky notes to put on her mirror.

Megan wanted to drink the crayons.. LOL

Our adventure footwear :P

We stopped by the store to buy balloons, streamers, and a card

This was all done in my epic slippers :)

We parked around the corner from Bethany's house and blew up the balloons.
Bethany was at home, we were waiting to meet up with her sister so we could hand over the supplies.

We Love you Bethany!!

Bethany's sister told us that Bethany had left her car unlocked...So we had a change in plans..

We snuck over to her house like ninjas and put signs all in her car.

spelled out Happy birthday on the dash,

And covered her windshield in sticky notes

Then we wrapped the inside of her car in streamers and added the balloons

It was funny, I was trying to go around to take this picture and I was tripped by the door..I fell on the ground and tried to hold my laughs in so she wouldn't hear us..It was hysterical.

A job well done :)

Oh and then we talked to the guy at the gas station..he wished Bethany a happy birthday with this partial picture..

And I'm still rocking the slippers :) haha.

Happy Birthday Bethany!! I Love You!
Sorry the pictures are so bad, I was in stealth mode, not photography mode.

Michael's Story

Let me tell you about a young man named Michael. Michael was a man after gods own heart, he loved everyone and was always involved in church events. Willingly, he chose to serve.
Michael had a younger brother and the two of them lived with both of their parents. While Michael and his brother were Christians, their parents were not. His parents never went to church or any of the events we held, but that didn't stop Michael from loving God with all his heart.
I remember when  everything changed, I remember that day, that moment when the day went from joyous to tragic. It was a Sunday morning at church, the congregation was focused on our pastor who was walking up to the makeshift stage in the front of the community center where we met every Sunday morning. As he stood in front us with tears in his eyes he told the church that our dear friend Michael had passed away, at only 21 years of age. As the words left his lips they stung my ears, the deafening silence was pierced with cries of mourning. I could not cry, I just sat there, unable to move, numb to everything. How could a God so great take someone so young? How could he use this for good?
Michael's funeral was so full that people were standing against the walls and out the back door, there were so many people there to honor him because of the impact that he had made on their lives.
Our church had made it a point to reach out and comfort Michael's family who had started attending church for their first time. Shortly, they became regulars , sitting every week in Michael's old seat.
Sometime this fall the men of the church had a retreat where they could get away from work and focus on God while hanging out with other men for a weekend. Michael's dad decided to go with the men on the retreat this year, and  he was drawn in by  Gods love. Michael's dad accepted Christ as his personal lord and savior.
You may ask why God does things that don't make sense to us at the time, but he has a plan and brings good things out of sorrow. He has brought life out of death.

If you are struggling with something and you can't understand why God has allowed bad things to happen, just remember that it is all a part of God's big plan. We can only see one piece of the giant jigsaw that God is making. Only he can see the whole picture, we just need to trust that he will reveal his glory in the end.

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
Just remember that ALL things you are struggling with in your life are there to bring glory to God. Just trust in Him and He will pull you through. You can make it. If you need anything please just let me know, I would love to pray for you.
God bless!

I'm Back!

Hello people of the internet, I have missed you.

It was really nice taking a break from internet and my computer and just focusing on
God. I have Learned a lot and realized how much I have depended on the computer and how It  really isn't necessary to living (well, duh :))

I had another great weekend and can't wait to post, but I have some sad news..I lost my notebook at the church where the retreat was and all my written posts, notes, and ideas were in there. Hopefully I will be able to find it soon so I can post again.

Love this song!! My God is so very beautiful!!
