Beauty in a Bottle

This being my first blog I thought I would tell you a little about the name and what it represents.
I decided to call it "beauty in a Bottle". this is because we all have a pure beauty in Christ, but the rounded curves of a bottle give us an unpleasant reflection, causing us to be self conscious and bottle up our beauty.
We just have to open up and release the beauty..and that is what I shall do through my blog.
Beauty can be easily misunderstood, and many girls these days seem to think beauty comes from a bottle(make up, hair products, etc..) but really it is what's inside of them, their personality, their actions, and Christ's reflection in them that defines their beauty.

1 peter 3:3-5  Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful.
I believe that this verse is saying that we should not base beauty on how we look; our hairstyle, accessories, or the brand of our clothing, instead we should let our personalities shine through. God finds our Humility beautiful, and he is the only one we should be trying to please. If you keep focused on God and let his love work through you, you will seem more beautiful to those around you. Plus, God says that the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit is unfading. Wow! This true beauty doesn't fade and will not wash away at the end of the day, it is there always, and that is AWESOME to know. It's like they say..Its whats on the inside that matters.
Love always, Felicity
